Every year, Young Poets Network run a summer marathon of poetry competitions – one for each week of August. It’s an absolutely fabulous way to keep creative over the long summer.
This year, I entered all four of the challenges, and with success! I was longlisted in the ‘How-To’ challenge, and I even won second place in their ‘The Poetics of Interrogation’ challenge with my poem ‘Grief Counselling’. You can read my winning poem here.
Young Poets Network is run by the Poetry Society, running free competitions for poets worldwide under the age of 25. YPN is a true and powerful force for good, and I can’t recommend them enough. You can find out more about Young Poets Network on their website.
